Not one less in the labor market: The vulnerability of women’s employment in urban Peru in 2020
The research aims to identify women in urban Peru who are at risk of losing their jobs in 2020 and characterize them before they become unemployed. They will use a statistical model called Penalized Logit, trained with data from the National Household Survey Panel from 2016 to 2019, to predict women's unemployment risk. The model's predictions will be validated using available information from 2020 to determine if the predicted job losses actually occurred.
